In March 1908, thousands of people from across Hoi An and Quang Nam Province gathered around bet169 keo nha cai legation building and protested for nearly a month against bet169 keo nha cai high tax system of bet169 keo nha cai colonial - feudal government.

At 6 a.m. on August 18, 1945, bet169 keo nha cai Hoi An uprising army surrounded bet169 keo nha cai administrative office, forcing bet169 keo nha cai puppet provincial government to hand over its seals and documents, announcing bet169 keo nha cai end of bet169 keo nha cai colonial feudal regime in Quang Nam.

On July 20, 1955, thousands of people in Hoi An marched to bet169 keo nha cai provincial administrative office to protest, demanding that bet169 keo nha cai Quang Nam puppet government strictly implement bet169 keo nha cai Geneva Agreement and issued hundreds of petitions asking for a general election to unify bet169 keo nha cai country.

At 5:00 on March 28, 1975, bet169 keo nha cai Hoi An army and civilians occupied bet169 keo nha cai Quang Nam Administrative office and completely liberated Hoi An town.

HOI AN DURING bet169 keo nha cai AUGUST REVOLUTION

On bet169 keo nha cai night of March 9, 1945, bet169 keo nha cai Japanese fascists launched a coup and overthrew bet169 keo nha cai French colonial rule in Indochina. From then on, our country was ruled by bet169 keo nha cai Japanese army. In Quang Nam - Da Nang, bet169 keo nha cai Japanese moved bet169 keo nha cai provincial administrative office from La Qua to bet169 keo nha cai old French legation (in Hoi An), and bet169 keo nha cai pro-Japanese bureaucracy was Vietnameseized. However, shortly after bet169 keo nha cai Japanese army seized power, Japan suffered disastrous defeats in many places. This situation marked bet169 keo nha cai end of bet169 keo nha cai Japanese army in Vietnam.

Faced with this situation, on March 12, 1945, bet169 keo nha cai Party Central Committee promptly issued bet169 keo nha cai directive "Japan and France shoot at each other, and we take action", instructing all localities to prepare troops, advance towards a general uprising, expel bet169 keo nha cai Japanese army, and seize power. In May 1945, according to bet169 keo nha cai instructions of bet169 keo nha cai Party Central Committee, bet169 keo nha cai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting in Dai Loc and decided to strengthen propaganda and mobilization, strengthen bet169 keo nha cai Viet Minh system at all levels, and prepare for bet169 keo nha cai general uprising. In May 1945, Comrade Nguyen Phe, Secretary of bet169 keo nha cai Hoi An Municipal Party Committee, held an enlarged meeting of bet169 keo nha cai Municipal Party Committee at Mrs Thu Khoa’s house (Trung Chau Village - Kim Bong commune) to implement bet169 keo nha cai resolution of bet169 keo nha cai Provincial Party Committee. Subsequently, Ngoc Thanh, Vinh Hung, and Ngoc Uan urgently formed two self-defense platoons. By August, bet169 keo nha cai number of Hoi An self-defense forces had reached 100. On August 17, in Ngoc Thanh Village, documents serving bet169 keo nha cai general uprising were quickly printed and distributed by officials and people. At bet169 keo nha cai home of Comrade Truong Tong, Comrades Luu Quy Ky and Phan Tri were ordered to sew a large Viet Minh flag for bet169 keo nha cai uprising army. Also in Ngoc Thanh, on bet169 keo nha cai evening of August 17, 1945, bet169 keo nha cai Hoi An Uprising Committee issued an order to launch an uprising to overthrow bet169 keo nha cai feudal and Japanese fascist governments stationed in Hoi An.

At 3 a.m on August 18, 1945, 5,000 people, together with bet169 keo nha cai Self-Defense Forces consisting of five companies and four platoons, set out in accordance with bet169 keo nha cai orders of bet169 keo nha cai uprising. bet169 keo nha cai uprising forces from bet169 keo nha cai suburbs held high bet169 keo nha cai flag of liberation and armed with spears, marched into bet169 keo nha cai inner city of Hoi An. As they walked, they shouted slogans such as "Down bet169 keo nha cai Tran Trong Kim puppet government", "Establish revolutionary government" and "Independent Vietnam" which inspired bet169 keo nha cai powerful spirit of bet169 keo nha cai revolutionary force. bet169 keo nha cai enemy were frightened and all their headquarters were occupied by bet169 keo nha cai revolutionary army. At 6 o'clock in bet169 keo nha cai morning on August 18, 1945, bet169 keo nha cai puppet governor Ton That Giang was forced to hand over bet169 keo nha cai seals and documents, marking bet169 keo nha cai complete collapse of bet169 keo nha cai feudal and lackey government in Hoi An. bet169 keo nha cai uprising was a complete success. Hoi An became one of bet169 keo nha cai first four places in bet169 keo nha cai country to seize power.

On bet169 keo nha cai morning of August 18, 1945, from bet169 keo nha cai Provincial Governor's building, under bet169 keo nha cai direction of Comrade Vo Toan, Commander Nguyen Thanh Son led bet169 keo nha cai Kim Bong Self-defense Company headed to Vinh Dien to support bet169 keo nha cai uprisings at Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh, Tam Ky districts.
